Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN follows the confident con man Harold Hill as he cheats the staid people of River City, Iowa with his standard scam of offering to equip and train a boy's marching band, despite the fact he doesn't know a bass drum from a pipe organ! Things go awry and he instead learns a lesson in moral responsibility from the town's comely librarian. This award winning musical is a toe-tapping classic with rousing marches, sentimental ballads and popular classics. Join the Fern Hill students as they take you on Harold Hill's journey, where he inadvertently enriches the town with a love of music.

Set in the 1950's, the boys are flexing their cool muscles but so are the girls and in the end the friendships blossom into early romances built on a better understanding of each other.
