Enjoy an evening of music that reflects the warmth and beauty of the holiday season. The program opens with Corelli's much-loved Christmas Concerto, followed by Schubert's dramatic Quartettsatz, a work that reveals the composer's remarkable expressive power.

We are delighted to welcome Joseph Johnson, Principal Cello of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, as soloist in Vivaldi's elegant Cello Concerto. After intermission, Mr. Johnson performs Tchaikovsky's lyrical Andante Cantabile, one of the composer's most beloved works for strings. The concert concludes with Bach's uplifting Orchestral Suite No. 4, featuring its festive overture, graceful dances, and spirited finale.

Combining Baroque masterpieces with Romantic favourites, this program offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy outstanding music and the artistry of one of Canada's leading cellists.

Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating two exceptional young Canadian artists, both prize-winners of the Oakville Chamber Orchestra's 2026 Youth Concerto Competition. Cellist Austin Dong performs Tchaikovsky's graceful and virtuosic Variations on a Rococo Theme, one of the composer's most elegant works for cello and orchestra. Soprano Alyssa Bartholomew is featured in Glière's sparkling Concerto for Coloratura Soprano, a delightful showcase of extraordinary vocal agility and lyricism.

Following intermission, the orchestra presents Haydn's Symphony No. 85 in B-flat Major, "La Reine", a work admired for its wit, charm, and melodic richness.

From brilliant solo performances to one of Haydn's finest symphonies, this engaging program highlights the remarkable talents of two rising stars alongside music that continues to delight audiences centuries after it was written.

Experience an evening of music inspired by folklore, storytelling, and vibrant national traditions.

Ravel's enchanting Mother Goose Suite opens the concert with a series of colourful musical fairy tales, followed by the dazzling virtuosity of Tzigane, performed by Oliver Xu, violin, prize-winner of the Oakville Chamber Orchestra's 2026 Youth Concerto Competition.

After intermission, Canadian composer (and OCO's Music Director) Charles Demuynck's Upbeat brings rhythmic energy and contemporary flair, leading into Bartók's evocative Hungarian Sketches, inspired by the folk music of his native Hungary.

The program concludes with Berio's celebrated Folk Songs, performed by mezzo-soprano Cassandra Warner, weaving together traditional melodies from around the world in imaginative and captivating settings. This varied program offers a rich blend of familiar favourites, exciting new voices, and outstanding solo performances.

Mozart's spirited Overture to Idomeneo opens the concert with dramatic energy, followed by his lyrical and elegant Violin Concerto No. 4, performed by Bennett Van Barr, prize-winner of the Oakville Chamber Orchestra's 2026 Youth Concerto Competition. Showcasing both virtuosity and expressive warmth, this beloved concerto highlights the remarkable talent of a rising young artist.

After intermission, the orchestra presents Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, a work celebrated for its irresistible rhythmic vitality and exuberant spirit.

From Mozart's grace and refinement to Beethoven's powerful musical energy, this program offers an engaging journey through some of the finest orchestral music ever written while celebrating the next generation of exceptional Canadian musicians.
